    Following the announcement of Russia's mobilization, anti-war protests resulted in thousands of arrests. The most heated protests took place in the Caucasus region Dagestan. The majority of Russia’s regions, however, did not come close to this kind of protest activity, although mobilisation is incredibly impopular.
