Russians were simply unprepared to see themselves portrayed as the ‘good guys’ in the new Netflix series ‘The Queen’s Gambit’. They like to point out where the series made mistakes in portraying the Soviet Union. But the problem is not that the series depict Soviet Russians incorrectly. Russians always find a way to be dissatisfied especially when it comes to depicting the Soviet way of life.
