Helena Arntz

Historian

Helena Arntz (1992) studied History (BA) and Eastern European Studies (MA) at the University of Amsterdam. She studied one year at Saint-Petersburg State University and did an internship at the Dutch embassy in Nur-Sultan during EXPO-2017. She wrote her MA thesis on identity building in post-Soviet Kazakhstan. After graduating Helena worked in development cooperation, concentrating on public health in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. She currently works as policy officer for the Dutch Research Council (NWO) at the department “science for global development”.
