Maxim Eristavi

Journalist en LGBT-activist

Maxim Eristavi (Zaporizje, 1986) is een Oekraïense schrijver en journalist en een van de oprichters van internet tv-station Hromadske International. Hij is civil society diplomat en non-resident research fellow bij de Atlantic Council.

In 2015 was hij Poynter fellow op Yale University, gespecialiseerd in informatieoorlogen en de LGBTI burgerrechtenbeweging. In 2016 werd hij fellow van het International Leadership Program van het Britse ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken en eveneens bij het Millennium Leadership Program van de  Atlantic Council.

Behalve in Oekraïense media publiceert en figureert hij bij de BBC, CNN, Al-Jazeera America, HuffPost TV, CTV, ITN News, the Daily Beast, Reuters, Politico, The New Republic en Foreign Policy.

Maxim Eristavi (Zaporizhe, 1986) is a journalist, columnist and co-founder of the Ukrainian mediaplatform Hromadske International. He writes for Ukrainian and international media, such as Reuters, BBC, Daily Beast, Foreign Policy and Window to Russia.

He specializes in new media, politics and civil rights advocacy, notably LGBT rights. He’s a 2016 fellow at International Leadership Program, UK's Foreign & Commonwealth Office and a 2016-2017 fellow at Millennium Leadership Program, Atlantic Council.
